FWIW, I ran across this thread after running into the same problem (iPad specific submission, errors to the effect of using a pre-release SDK despite the fact I had 3.2 selected in all the relevant places). Tossing my xcode 3.2.3 and returning to 3.2.2 "fixed" the problem.
