Intermittent distcc failures on Snow Leopard with Xcode 3.2.2

Hi,

We just updated to Xcode 3.2.2 and were very happy to see that the distcc errors we experienced with 3.2.1 are fixed! Unfortunately we are now seeing a different problem. Sometimes when a build is distributing we see the follow for each file:

distcc[83335] ERROR: failed to connect to UNIX-DOMAIN /tmp/distcc-pump.ykSWNg/socket: No such file or directory
distcc[83335] (dcc_build_somewhere) Warning: failed to get includes from include server, preprocessing locally

And the build grinds to a halt. Gah! Doing a clean and rebuild all or stopping and restarting Xcode seems to fix it (not convinced that either is actually fixing though, maybe it's just timing). The problem seems to affect some machines more often then others.

Any ideas? Are there any distccd parameters that can be tweeked? This problem really affects our productivity with Xcode as we have a large code base.

Thanks,
