Hi Sean,
Are you running Xcode 3.2.2?
I see the problem with all of my Core Data applications including the ones I tried from Apple's sample projects. Try building one of Apple's sample Core Data projects such as "Departments and Employees".
The steps to follow after opening the project in Xcode are:
build, clean, build
