Thanks Stéphane. Just a couple of quick questions:
1. I believe I can do that from the command line using xar. A
GUI app is no good to me. It needs to be done as part of my
'make_release' script.
2. My understanding is that there is no way to sign a 'bundle'
meta-package (I need a 'bundle' meta-package to be able to
install on Tiger). I don't know what a flat distribution is.
If that works on Tiger, I would give it a go.
Paul Sanders.

1. You could do that with a flat package. You would just need
to use the
Flat Package Editor utility to extract the PackageInfo file,
modify it
and then put it back. You should just remember that the Flat
Package
Editor utility has some bugs and that you need to quit the
application
every time you make a modification to a flat package that you
want to
save.
2. Just for the record, you can sign both a flat package and a
flat
distribution.
