Dependent target breakpoints

In the book "Xcode 3 Unleashed", there is an example of using a dependent
target in the Linear app.

This example works fine but, when I put a breakpoint in the dependent code
(with Debug configurations for both), the breakpoint doesn't hit.

Is it supposed to?
