So no one has any help or advice they can offer?

Can you please provide more information:

Does the project compile properly?

Yes, it does

On what platform is the program running (could be a provisioning issue)?

MBP with Snow Leopard, Xcode 3.2

Does the application run properly when started from a console?

No, oddly it doesn't

Can your compiled product run at all on your machine? (Is the binary of the correct architecture?)

It did right up until Xcode crashed on me

Is there an Entitlement.plist file in the application bundle? (then, there might be a flag that prohibits debugging)

No.

Any suspicious warnings when compiling, or strange behavior of Xcode (project file corrupt)?

No.

When you open the "Executable Info", is there anything that looks strange?
Program arguments?
Is the flag set:  Start executable after starting debugger ?

Nothing that seems awry there either.

Anyway, I started with a fresh project and moved thing in bit by bit and it now seems that it is working again - sorry to trouble you all.

Mikey

OK, so it seems that the problem is that I want to change the executable name - anyone know how to do this without causing problems?

Mikey
