Thanks for bringing this up, Seth.
Apple Bug 7522583:
Summary:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. While editing text files, use the Go Back/Go Forward navigation buttons.
2. Read Documentation (Xcode 3.2 Release Notes) states that "the Go Back/Go Forward navigation within text files now works like in Web browsers. Xcode keeps a trail of interesting recent locations in each file, and Go Back now regresses through the locations rather than just by file".
Expected Results:
An "interesting recent location" should be an area of text which the normal human would comprehend as a "location".
Actual Results:
Sometimes the movement when I hit the Go Back or Go Forward button is only one line.
Regression:
This behavior is new in Xcode 3.2
Notes:
Simply write a little algorithm to establish affinity between near-neighboring lines or so so that they are coalesced into a single "interesting location".
