The best solution is don't.

Use Eclipse for Java based projects instead. Much more flexibility and much more useful tools.
Eclipse website (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/)


Not only will you get a powerful IDE, but the same skill set you get by using it in OS X will be applicable on Linux and Windows as well.
