I hope this is an OK place to ask for
help with Package Manager. I've built a standard C++ tool using Xcode
and then I made an installer to put it into /Library/Application Support/MyApp
and a script in /Library/StartupItems/StartMyApp. I can't seem
to get the folders to create with the right owners and permissions. The
files install with correct owners and permissions, but the folders that
are precreated end up being owned by my user and not root. For example,
"/Library/Application Support/MyApp/lib/mylib.dylib is owned by root
like expected, but "/Library/Application Support/MyApp/lib" folder
is owned by my user. When I reboot my Mac, I get a message saying
"Insecure Startup Item disabled", I think because my folders
all have the wrong owners. How do I fix this? I have tried
selecting the flag for "Overwrite Directory Permissions", but
that doesn't do it.
Thanks, Xochitl _______________________________________________
