I don't know ocx, nor what kind of heuristics or information it uses (maybe it uses the debug info?), nor how you determinate that "otool know what class it is". Please show the output from which you deduce that the class information is available or referenced somewhere in the object file. And check whether this ocx can still give you the same information if you compile without debugging information.
