UIAutomation vs. "Automation

Hi,

I tried a little bit more to get the UIAutomation to work, starting with an simple Apple sample project.
I managed to get it to work in the Simulator by choosing the build app in the build folder as target.

On the device, however, I can choose the sample app as target. The app will be launched but Instruments displays only "Automation is not supported on this device". It is an iPod touch with iOS 4.0.

Is this related to code signing? The apple sample is signed by an wildcard profile..

TIA for an hints,
