Wrong dates in Console.app

  • Subject: Wrong dates in Console.app

On my PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard, the date and time in System Preferences are correct, but all Console.app log entries show a date in 1969. If I switch to another user account on the machine, the System Preferences date and time are still correct, but now Console.app log entries are dated in December 2009. I've repaired disk permissions and verified the disk with Disk Utility and run TechTool Pro, and I've trashed Console and CrashReporter preferences -- all to no avail. Everything else on the computer seems to work OK, except it seems a little slower than I remember (maybe just because I'm used to my MacBook Pro).

What's going on? How do I fix it?
