[ANN] gcc 4.2.1, gcov, iPhones, CoverStory, code coverage and you

Hey folks...

I've been contacted by a couple of people who've been having difficulties with code coverage on Snow Leopard, especially with iPhoneSDKs.

Just wanted to let people know that I finally had a chance to look into it, and did a quick write up on what is wrong (and how to fix it) here:

http://code.google.com/p/google-toolbox-for-mac/wiki/SnowLeopardGCov

Also, we have released a new version CoverStory available here:

http://coverstory.googlecode.com/files/CoverStory.4.2.0.dmg

which supports Snow Leopard better (the big bug being not being able to open more than one coverage file at a time) and has enhanced performance.

Combine CoverStory with the features in the GTM Xcode Plugin:

http://google-toolbox-for-mac.googlecode.com/files/GTM Xcode Plugin.10.0.5.zip

(Docs here: http://code.google.com/p/google-toolbox-for-mac/wiki/GTMXcodePlugin)

and it makes it relatively easy to do code coverage analysis.

Cheers,
Dave
