building for 32-bit intel only

Hello,
I want to build for 32-bit intel ONLY, rather than either: 32-bit universal (which builds for both intel and ppc) OR 64-bit intel. The these two architectures seem to be the only ones available in this version of XCode (version 3.2.2).
The reason I only want to build for only 32-bit intel is that I am linking with a library that is built for that specific architecture, and I get linkage errors if build for others.
Please let me know the best way forward, George
