Try running the 'file' command on your plugin - it'll tell you what
architectures it's built for. For example:

    $ file /Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat

    Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures
    (for architecture x86_64):	Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64
    (for architecture i386):	Mach-O executable i386

If your plugin is indeed being compiled 64-bit only, check your
project and target settings. Specifically, look into:

    Architectures (ARCHS)
    Build Active Architecture Only (ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH)
    Valid Architectures (VALID_ARCHS)

Also, there are some bugs in Xcode 3.2.2 (and earlier?) that may cause
it to ignore some build settings in certain situations. See the
following two discussions for more information:

    http://www.cocoabuilder.com/archive/xcode/286703-odd-behavior-of-active-sdk.html

... although off the top of my head, I doubt this is what's happening
in your case.
