Assembler in XCode 3.2.1 running under 10.6

Hi all,
I've noticed that my SIMD assembler algorithm does not work anymore
sometimes after upgrading XCode and switching to 10.6

This would normally be considered "expected", as there always break
something between major releases - but in this case I can't even
figure out what happened, as XCode would not let me step into my
assembler code (called from my C/C++ infrastructure) anymore. Instead
it would show some completely unrelated CRT sources and on the next
single-step request just jump back.

Does any of you experienced a similar behavior and found a workaround,
or has an idea or hint what else I could check.

Any lead is highly appreciated,
thanks and best regards,
Hagen.
