Two questions:

1) Why is this known issue not in the list of known issues in the Xcode 3.2.2 release notes?

http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/releasenotes/DeveloperTools/RN-Xcode/

2) How was this regression that broke debugging not a show-stopper? (I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer is, "only affects Mac OS X development, not iPhone OS".)

The Xcode team has a very strange conception of 'stabilization', it seems to me.

As far as I can tell, the problem only occurs if the framework/library is built in the same directory as the app and is also embedded in the app. A workaround is to delete the built copy of the library in the build directory before debugging.
