Nope.

You can, however, get at it by exploiting a cute bug:
http://emberapp.com/ahruman/images/find-find/

Not very convenient, but it may be enough to solve your immediate problem.

Or, if you're using a sane multi-window layout, you can just enter the search term in a different window, or even a different app. NSFindPboard to the rescue! That's not half as fun, though.
