Ok, what kind of dumb@$$ mistake am I making here? I'm back to a Mac
project I haven't worked on for 6 mo. (been doing iPad stuff) and I can't
get my debug version to compile. Release setting -- no problems. Project
Settings set for all configs. 10.6 with very recent XCode.

In debug, I'm getting errors that say "Cannot find protocol declaration for
NSTextStorageDelegate" "NSWindowDelegate", "NSXMLParserDelegate", plus a
few hundred warning messages like 'ICAGetNthChildPB is deprecated",
apparently emanating from QTKit. I don't see any of this when compiling
"release". Any theories?
