Can anyone suggest a way to debug an iPad external screen other than change
and try? Is there such a thing as a splitter cable that can be used to
connect the iPad to both the computer and the monitor simultaneously? Or is
there any way to do this with the simulator?

I have tried displaying messages in a temp subview on the main screen, but
that doesn't help with a crash on launch.
