You could also check the "Secure" box in the "Text Input Traits" section on the "Text Field Attributes" inspector in Interface Builder?

Assuming of course you are using IB to set up your UI.

Subject: UITextField

Hi All.
I'm using a UITextField object (iOS sdk 4.1) to enter some text. This text is a password.
Is there a way to mask with a '*' the insert character when typing or there exists a specific text field for that?

Thanks for any answer.

Luca.
