  • Thread-topic: how to script Xcode to get current file

Since the very useful scripting menu was removed from Xcode with the version 4 release, I was hoping to use AppleScript, but AppleScript support seems effectively broken in Xcode 4.0.1.

Does anybody know how to get the path to the current document open in Xcode 4 using AppleScript?

Also, is there a way to configure build settings using AppleScript. The build settings AppleScript support seems to be deprecated in Xcode 4 and I haven't been able to get it to work.

I have dozens of applications to build and run in my project and I had used scripting to automatically configure the build and run settings simply by selecting the source code and then using a script menu item I had written. It worked great in Xcode 3, but I haven't been able to recover the functionality in Xcode 4.
