Well the need for magic words like "get" is a sign of poor implementation.

FWIW, I suspect Xcode 3.x's AppleScript scripting worked as well as it did
at least in part because it had to play nice with the AppleScript Studio
dictionary, so from that point of view I wouldn't hold my breath.
User-controlled automation seems to be out of favor (and not just within
Apple).
