I’m really confused about the list of Destinations that shows up in the Scheme pop-up. Fairly often I’ll find that it doesn’t include valid destinations (like, 32-bit mode is missing on OS X, or iOS 4 on iOS.)
Right now I’m looking at a project where the current scheme builds an iOS target (and test bundle). The available destinations for this scheme are “iOS Device”, “iPad 5.0 Simulator”, “iPhone 5.0 Simulator”. No 4.x destinations, although everything I can find in the build settings for all relevant targets shows that iOS 4 is supported: Base SDK is iOS 4, iOS Deployment Target is iOS 4.0.
Worse, I can remember that within the past week I did have the option of selecting iOS 4 as a destination; but I think some change I made to the build settings made it go away, only I don’t know what it was.
Anyone got a clue? Or can at least state comprehensible rules for how the valid destination list is computed? (Hint to Apple: this would be a good idea to actually document sometime.)
