I'm seriously wondering why this issue has not been fixed yet. It's kinda high on the important list.
First, I created SVN repos on a remote Mac Mini, each with tags, trunk and branches. I tested them with Versions by checking out and committing files.
Then, I followed this nice little guide to import my Xcode projects into the SVN repositories:
http://support.beanstalkapp.com/customer/portal/articles/95579-setting-up-subversion-with-xcode-4
Lights are green on the SVN access for the tags, branches and trunk folders.
And at Import Xcode fails with:
Xcode Import repository
Failed to import FluffyFuzzyBunnies
Authentication realm: <svn://192.168.2.1:3690> 71acd6e0-4aa0-46f2-8558-dc300782d264
Password for 'zav':
Authentication realm: <svn://192.168.2.1:3690> 71acd6e0-4aa0-46f2-8558-dc300782d264
Username: svn: Can't read stdin: End of file found
So, I open up Versions, go straight to the repository bookmark and import the project into the trunk from versions using the same username and password that Xcode doesn't seem able to handle.
Go back in to Xcode, make a change to a file, try to commit, look in the Repository Organizer and the repo has a red lights.
Even quitting, relaunching Xcode, reentering my username and password in the Repo Organizer is pretty useless. The repository lights are green, but the same fail on import.
Seems like a lot of work was put in to getting SVN integrated into Xcode so that it doesn't work.
It's really odd that I have to use Versions to commit files into the repository. I'm amazed that this product shipped like this.
