Modifying InterfaceBuilder - make “<x> Identity” Palette an ordinary non-floating window?

Is it possible to do this by modifying something in a nib file directly? I assume the window type is a single item buried somewhere in the long plist - the problem is finding it as everything seems to be obfuscated by CF$UID tags. Or is it off to figure out how to develop a one-off haxie, or if f-script can be used?
