Disabling clean-build on Archive?

Xcode 4’s Product>Archive command always seems to do a clean build. I can see valid reasons for this, but it’s a huge pain in the ass when I’m trying to track down build errors that only show up in this build style, because I have to wait for everything to build from scratch.

Is there a way to disable this? I looked at the scheme settings and couldn’t find anything.
