This is driving me mad. I'm basically done with my app and want to get the AdHoc version out to my beta testers. I can't compile it because I can't get rid of the "Xcode could not find a valid private-key/certificate pair for this profile in your keychain" error. I deleted all certificates and provisioning data and created everything new from scratch. Twice. It just doesn't work. I have two apps in the app store already, so basically I guess I know what I'm doing. What on earth could possibly still go wrong? This is so frustrating!
Sebastian,
Do you have an AdHoc provisioning certificate for this application or for all of your applications?
This is something that you have to create manually, just like your release certificates.
