iOS: Simulator won't print

I'm using XCode 4.0.2

And although I have the print simulator running, when I attempt to print anything from the simulator I get this error:

startJob: Unable to connect to printd: Connection refused

This happens in all of my apps, all os version of the simulator and all apple examples as well as the simulator's Safari...

is this something broken on my system or in 4.0.2?
