Hi all,
First my specs:
iMac 2.8GHz i7 21.5"
OSX 10.6.8
XCode 3.2.6
iTunes 10.3.1
So a lot has changed in the last few days and I'm not sure which one is
the culprit to my problem. In the last few days i've upgraded from an
older non-unibody 24" intel mac to this brand new one. To do so, I
cloned the hard drive via firewire but then it wouldn't boot so i
reinstalled Snow Leopard on top of the drive which worked. Now i'm back
and all of my data and apps are still intact. Then Apple released 10.6.8
which I just upgraded to.
Here's the problem, NOW when I hit a breakpoint in my app, I lose all
audio on the entire system. iTunes continues to play (the marker and
time move) but no audio is heard. The same is true for quicktime,
youtube and anything else that should be making sounds. As soon as I
release the breakpoint and continue execution, the audio returns unaffected.
This was never a problem before a few days ago. I WAS running XCode
3.2.4 and since upgraded to 3.2.6 to try to solve the problem. That
didn't make a difference.
Can anyone else verify that this is/is not happening to them? My best
guess is that something changed in 10.6.8?!
I'm not going to be very productive if i lose my music everytime i hit a
breakpoint!
Thanks,
Chris
