Xcode error: "The selected run destination is not valid for this action"

Not sure if I'm missing something. My MacBook Pro is configured to run the 64-bits kernel in 10.6. Now in Xcode 4, when I choose the target "<My app name> My Mac 64-bit" (from the popup next to the "Stop" button in the *non*-customizable toolbar, I get this dreaded error:

"The selected run destination is not valid for this action"

If I choose "<My App Name> My Mac 32-bit", then the application launches but only in 32-bit mode.

I double-checked my build settings and, although the interface is quite different than in Xcode 3.x, the settings seem to be the same.

So, what am I missing?

-Laurent.
