The 10.5 SDK is not available with Xcode 4.
Is setting the Deployment Target to 10.5 not sufficient?
No, the 10.6 SDK gives a lot of useless warnings, due to bugs in the newer system that Apple refuses to resolve. And can my projects actually be compatible between Xcode 3.x and 4.x? Otherwise Xcode 4.0 is completely useless for me, as I am not the only one using some shared projects.
The project format has not changed, you should be able to share projects between Xcode 3 and Xcode 4 without issue. -- David Duncan
Except then when using the 10.5 SDK, apparently.
thanks Christiaan
