1. Mount the disk image for Xcode 3.2.5.
2. In the Terminal, enter the command "open /Volumes/Xcode\ and\ iOS\ SDK/Packages/MacOSX10.5.pkg" OR
2a. In the Finder, Go To Folder "/Volumes/Xcode and iOS SDK/Packages", then double-click the MacOSX10.5.pkg.
3. In the Installer at the Select a Destination step, click on your destination drive, then click the Choose Folder..." button. Select your Xcode root (i.e., /Developer).
4. Complete the installation.
If you forget to change the destination folder, it will install at the root of the hard drive. You can move it in place in the Terminal with:
$ sudo mv /SDKs/MacOSX10.5.sdk /Developer/SDKs
Note, this installation is unsupported by Apple, but it has worked fine for me.
