Possible bug with readInBackgroundAndNotify method?

According to Apple's documentation, there is no mention of the NSFileHandle method readInBackgroundAndNotify throwing an exception like this:

Exception raised during posting of notification.  Ignored.  exception: '*** -[NSConcreteFileHandle fileDescriptor]: No such file or directory'  invoked observer method...

I did a test of my code on Mac OS 10.1 to Mac OS 10.4 without this exception happening. This leads me to conclude it could be a bug with Apple's code in Mac OS 10.6. Has anyone experienced this exception happen to them? I would like to receive some feedback before reporting this problem to Apple. _______________________________________________
