You can partition your drive and/or add an external drive, and install other versions of Mac OS X to those additional partitions/drives. Then, you can boot from whichever you like by holding down the Option (a.k.a. Alt) key at the boot chime.
However, there's an important caveat: you can't boot a version of Mac OS X that's older than the hardware. If you have a brand new Mac, you can't boot Tiger or Leopard. Those earlier versions of the OS don't include the necessary drivers for the hardware.
So, you may need to buy an older Mac to support this testing scenario.
