ARC on Snow Leopard

  • Subject: ARC on Snow Leopard

I am running Xcode 4.2 on 10.6.8.

I want to convert projects to ARC using Xcode's built-in refactoring tool.

But the "Convert Objective-C ARC" refactoring item in the Edit menu is grayed out. The instructions on doing the conversion says the only thing to do ahead of time is to check the "Continue building after errors" box on the General pane of the general Preferences, which I have done. I also made sure I have the right compiler, LLVM 3.0, selected, which I have.

Can anyone suggest what more I need to do, or is it the case that the ARC conversion tool doesn't run on Snow Leopard?

Thanks,

Tom Wetmore
