I had _thought_ that the App Store was going to do delta updates, but
this doesn't seem to be the case in light of the upgrade.

However, I did not see the update in the App Store and had to "buy" it
again to get the updated version, which might explain why I had to
download the whole thing again.  I'm guessing the update didn't appear
because I had deleted the old "Install Xcode" app, so maybe the App
Store didn't see that I had Xcode installed.

So... was the 1.8 GB update for you a true upgrade (in the MAS sense) or
did you too do a fresh install?
