pop up button cell

Hi,
I need to add a pop up button cell (with 3 entries) to a column of a tableview that I am reading, writing and updating using the datasource method.  I cannot seem to encode this in IB or in source; there is little documentation.  Can someone provide some tips or references to documentation?
