Oh, that is very sad indeed.  You know, since AppleScriptability has been broken since Xcode 4.0, and there must have been mountains of bugs filed, I was hoping that 4.2 would show some sign of improvement.

Together with the fact that AppleScript Editor was not even upgraded to support Auto Save and Versions in Lion, and the fact that apps talking to other apps seems fundamentally incompatible with Application Sandboxing, this adds to my fear that AppleScript is being left to die.  I don't think there's anything like AppleScript on iOS.
