Hello, all ...
I would be upset at this, but I truthfully find it so humorous that I can't be mad :-) Here is the issue:
1. I put the cursor on "UITableView" in my code and bring up the right sidebar with the instant help.
2. In said sidebar, I click on "UITableView class reference".
3. The organizer appears, showing the developer.apple.com page which asks me to log into my iOS dev account.
4. As soon as I try to login, the following appears:
"index.html" is locked for editing and you may not be able to save your changes. Do you want to unlock it?"
5. A bit puzzled (as this file isn't local), I click Unlock, and the following appears:
The file "index.html" could not be unlocked. The file is a remote resource. Try making a local copy.
6. After this, I chuckle yet again at Xcode4's and Lion's "quirkiness", launch Chrome and look at the documentation that way.
This is the latest iOS 5.0 GM Seed version of Xcode 4.2, specifically for Lion (10.7.1). Is this an[other] Xcode 4 problem? A Lion issue (like the often-pinwheeling Terminal.app or the forgetful Mail.app)? Both?
Regards,
John
