Xcode screwed up the encoding of one of my Localizable.strings files (it thought the BOM was text and used the wrong byte order) and when I went to find a way to change that in Xcode 4.1, nothing could be found. I tried changing the file type to Plain Text and back to "Default - Localization string", then at some point the 2 popups for encoding/endings appeared in the File Inspector. Now they're gone again. Cripes. Why won't they stay?

I think you'll find that the encoding inspector will show up if you put focus in the editor for the .strings file. Thanks for your bug report!
