Storyboard stuck in XML in Xcode 4.2

Is there any way to turn off this XML only assistant editing of the storyboard?

It's Saturday, I've got a crapload of work to do and my storyboard is stuck in XML only mode.  Right clicking and choosing Open In... does nothing after I select any of the options presented in the graphic that appears.

This really blows.
