This has been in Xcode for quite a while, maybe even as long as it has had autocomplete. File a bug, and in the mean time, hit escape to suppress the suggestion.
Or, you can turn off completion-while-typing; you can get completions on demand by typing ctl-space, and, optionally, escape. Preferences… > Text Editing > Editing > Code completion:.
