Thanks, but I guess I'm not being clear. Yes, it's business. I still
consistently get registrations from people on 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6. I'm
still selling it, and people are still buying it, knowing that it doesn't
run on 10.7+. Go figure. It's music software for musicians, so maybe there's
more old machines out there in the field, I don't know...
What I was hoping for was simply advice on how to get the app ported to
Xcode in a way that will let it run on 10.7+, as a Universal app. This
should be doable, no? It runs now on 10.6...
Should I be compiling against the Current Os (10.4.11), or set everything to
compile against the 10.4u SDK? I don't understand the difference when I'm on
a 10.4 machine.
I'm not adding any new features that Apple has introduced. All that it has
to do is work the way that it has always worked.
This project is NEVER going to go Cocoa. It's massive. It's got 18 years in
it. It doesn't resemble a "standard" Mac App much, handles all dialog code
in a custom way, uses PowerPlant 2.2 (which I'm not planning to rewrite) -
and has a gazillion custom UI widgets leveraging PowerPlant.
I just want to get it to run on 10.7+, as it currently exists. Nothing more.
;-) Is that not possible?
