Controlling local symbols visibility

  • Subject: Controlling local symbols visibility

I'm developing bundles/plugins that export certain global symbols as entry points (with Xcode 3.2.6)
The build process includes local symbols (or better said omits stripping - Strip Style = Debugging Symbols) to make it easier to read crash logs just in case.
However I'd like to hide some local symbols for security reason.
Is there a way to do so?

Xcode Exported Symbols File and Unexported Symbols File settings work only on global symbols.

Settings
#pragma GCC visibility push(hidden)
#pragma GCC visibility pop
are also ignored for local symbols.

Thanks for any hint.
