- Thread-topic: Missing English.lproj folder - is this a necessity?
Background: I have an old CodeWarrior Carbon app that I have been porting to
use Xcode, and compile on Intel. I am up to using Xcode 3.5, building on
10.6.8.
Everything's going well, but today I noticed that in the app bundle (back
when it was built by CW) there used to be a
/Contents/Resources/English.lproj folder, with a single InfoPlist.strings
file inside it.
I believe CW use to add this by default; and apparently it didn't get
imported when I imported the project to Xcode.
Since my app has no localization whatsoever, is this file necessary at all
or can I just ignore its absence?
The only entries in the file are:
CFBundleShortVersionString
CFBundleName
CFBundleGetInfoString
... and since these exist in my main Info.plist file, I'm assuming that the
lproj file would just replace those depending on localization - so since I
have none, I don't need it....
Thanks,
- Stephen
