Couldn't register com.me.myapp with the bootstrap server

Couldn't register com.me.myapp with the bootstrap server. Error: unknown error code.
This generally means that another instance of this process was already running or is hung in the debugger.

I keep getting this error, and often times can't seem to get out of it. Debugging seems to be fairly unreliable, both on sim and on a device, although failures occur more often on the device.

It seems that nothing short of rebooting my Mac makes this go away some times. I've tried killing the sim, disconnecting/reconnecting the device, quitting and relaunching Xcode, etc.

Is there any way to fix this?
