I have the same problem as Rick. The log shows that it compiled everything, linked, analyzed, generated dSYMs, copied resources, touched, stripped, set permissions, and code signed. No errors.
The .app product and .dSYM appear in the Release directory, and the .app works.
This was the *second* time that I had clicked the 'Archive' menu item. The first time, about 5 minutes before this, the archive appeared in the Organizer OK. However, my project had two targets, one of which I decided to delete. Then I clicked 'Archive' again.
I have quit and re-launched Xcode 4.2.
What would cause an archive to not appear in the Organizer?
