Yup, this has been public knowledge for a few months (ever since these features showed up in the Clang repository) and discussed heavily on the objc-language list here — try Googling [site:lists.apple.com "object literals"].
There's also a command in the Xcode Refactor menu to automatically convert code to use the new syntax — pretty cool!
