Unfortunately it doesn't fix this bug introduced with Xcode 4.3:

which probably hits me 10x a day, with no option but to restart xcode.

This one happens to me all the time as well.  I put it down to hitting Run twice, or modifying code and hitting Build again, in the interval while Xcode is still launching the Simulator.

What's worse is that eventually you seem to run into the "can't open the bootstrap port" or whatever the hell that is, and you need to completely reboot.
